The Tour Finis

Tour de Fleece finished and what a great learning experience. As I look over the different bobbins ready to be wound into skeins, it's pretty amazing to see the results of spinning every day and seeing how far you can go and grow within the craft. I still have a very long way to go and many challenges, but the peacefulness that spinning brings is a perfect complement to knitting.

It's really amazing to know it all started with this, a Colonial mixed wool roving that I got in the town of Sisters.

Treadling, drafting & using lots of concentration with sweet lil cheerleader, Kiki, by my side (note to self: must make her a little tutu)

A full bobbin --whoo hoo! Sure there's some twist, okay --a LOT of twist, and it's nowhere near lace weight, but it's yarn and I can't wait to use it.

And at the end, a relaxing spin on the front porch with a glass of wine, a cool breeze and giggles from two boys playing in the front yard. Yes, a good tour indeed.
